We all have our very own version of what our dream life looks like, right? Naturally, this leads us to think about what will help us get there and create the goals that will serve as the building blocks for our vision. Now, the question is, what happens when our momentum abruptly plateaus the moment we hit some sort of roadblock? Do we give up, or do we keep going? Keep going, why, of course! Or at least, we tell ourselves at times all the while doing the direct opposite. Why even is that?
So and so got their dream job, so and so has traveled all around the world, so and so has... zero problems and lives a carefree life. Thanks to these constant messages we receive whether through social media, friends, and lets not even talk about family… the main message is clear. You have to be successful. If you’re not, something must be wrong with you, right? It might seem a bit extreme, but let’s be real here and get to the root of the negative self talk we all experience at one point or another in our lives.

Oh, your 20s... what a magical time. What a confusing time, yet an essential time to figure some stuff out about... well life. The thing is that some lessons they come easy, and other lessons we learn only when we get punched in the gut by them. The life lesson here is very clear... don't run and don't hide. Also, don't confront it with everything you got. At least for me, I have found other ways that have proven to be sustainable in dealing with it. The first is to not neglect it.
